Who we are

SalvageFlow is a software platform for auto salvage yards and dismantlers, operated by SalvageFlow LLC. When this policy says "SalvageFlow," "we," "us," or "our," it refers to SalvageFlow LLC and the services available at salvageflow.com and app.salvageflow.com.

What information we collect

We collect information in two ways — what you give us, and what we collect automatically.

Information you give us:

• Account registration: name, email address, business name, phone number, address
• Listings and inventory: vehicle data, part descriptions, photos, prices you enter
• Buyer inquiries: name, email, and message content submitted via listing contact forms
• Payment and billing information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
• Communications with our support team

Information we collect automatically:

• Log data: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
• Usage data: features used, actions taken inside the app
• Cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the SalvageFlow platform
• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To send transactional emails (inquiry notifications, reservation updates, billing receipts)
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
• To respond to support requests
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the product

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Third-party services we use

We share data with the following categories of service providers, strictly to operate the platform:

• Hosting and infrastructure — DigitalOcean (server and database hosting)
• Email delivery — Resend (transactional emails)
• Error monitoring — Sentry (crash and error reporting)
• Payments — Stripe (billing and subscription management)
• eBay integration — when you connect your eBay account, we access your eBay seller data using OAuth authorization you explicitly grant. We do not access your eBay account without your permission.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, billing records).

Audit logs are retained for up to 365 days for security and compliance purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences (for example, sidebar state). We use no third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in to the app.

Children's privacy

SalvageFlow is a B2B platform intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us at privacy@salvageflow.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active account holders by email when we make material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
